Tony has been a TV news and current affairs cameraman for the past 34 years, starting with TVNZ in Dunedin in 1979, training as a film camera assistant. Worked in all the main centers on a huge range of programmes like 20/20, 60 Minutes, documentaries and music videos.

He took up still photography about seven years ago and drags his kit around all over the country while on assignment hoping to capture that shot where the subject, the foreground, background and the right light all co-operate to produce a winner.
